Totnes Spinners
The Totnes Spinners and The South Hams Group of Weavers, Spinners
and Dyers are getting together at the 2023 Totnes Show to raise funds for
the RNLI
We will be offering 2 children's activities this year. We will have some drop spindles for children to have a go at spinning.
They will have the opportunity to spin a length of yarn and make a bracelet to take away.
We will be using waste wool from yarn production, donated by The Natural Fibre Company.
The second activity will be a woolly quiz, with a small prize for taking part.
There will be a small charge of £1 for each activity to raise funds for the RNLI
Our display will show how versatile British wool is, alongside the environmental benefits of this product.
Visit us in the Home, Handicraft & Horticulture marquee, on the show day, to have a go at spinning using a drop spindle and see spinning wheels in action.
