A Perpetual Challenge Cup presented by Mr Peter Mingo will be presented at Kingsbridge Show in September to the Exhibitor gaining the most points in the Cattle Classes at the three Agricultural Shows of Yealmpton, Totnes and Kingsbridge during the season. First will be awarded 3 points, Second awarded 2 points and third awarded 1 point for each class.

A Perpetual Challenge Cup, presented by the late Herbert Tully, Esq., will be awarded to the overall Champion of the Cattle Classes.

C2

The Herald Express Cup (Perpetual). will be awarded to the Exhibitor, resident in Devon; gaining the most points in the Cattle Section. 1st: 3 points; 2nd: 2 points; 3rd 1 point.

C3

The Carl Throgmorton Salver (Perpetual) will be presented for the Best Bull in the Show. Any age, any breed.

C4

Messrs Farm Industries Ltd Cup for the Best Group Three Dairy Animals exhibited by one exhibitor.

 

The EGCS offer a special championship rosette for the champion, subject to over ten entries being catalogued.

Perpetual Challenge Cup, presented by the late Lord Mildmay of Flete, Group of South Devon Bull and Two Heifers. NB - A Heifer shall mean a female animal which has not produced a calf up to the Show day. NB - All entries in Group Classes must be entered in other Classes.

Perpetual Challenge Bowl, presented by the late John Narramore, Esq., for Best Animal in all Female South Devon Classes.

The ‘Herbie Major’ Perpetual Challenge Cup, presented in memory of the late S H Major, for the Best South Devon Bull.

The Will Luscombe Cup (Perpetual) presented in the memory of the late Mr W G Luscombe, for the Best Maiden Heifer in the South Devon Cattle Classes.

A Championship Sash and Rosette given by the South Devon Herd Book Society, for the Champion South Devon Animal in the Show.

A Special Prize of Ten Pounds, given by the South Devon Cattle Breeders’ Club, for the Best South Devon Female in the Show, the property of a member of South Devon Cattle Breeders’ Club

                    All Entries are subject to the olsteiohHHolHolstein UK Showing Rules.

                    Entries should be open to both black and white and red and white Holstein

Ayrshires: Animals entered must be registered in Appendices or Fully Pedigree Section of the Ayrshire

    Herd Book, Ayrshire High Bred or Red and White Sections of the Ayrshire Society Herd Book and be at least one-half Ayrshire. 

                    If Black and White in colour animals must be registered in the Herd Book’s full

The Holstein UK offers a Championship Award Rosette to the exhibitor of the Holstein Female Champion. The Reserve will also receive a Rosette.

A Championship Rosette and Plaque will be awarded by the Devon Holstein UK Breeders’ Club for the Best Pedigree Holstein or Supplementary Registered Animal in the above classes, bred and exhibited by a club member.

For the best prepared and exhibited calf of any breed born after 30th  July 2005 and before 1ST January 2006 and led by a boy or girl aged 10 years but not more than 15 years at date of Show.

For the best prepared and exhibited calf of any breed born after  1st January 2008 and led by a boy or girl aged 9 years or under at date of Show.

 

To be judged on turnout of calf and leader and leaders ability to parade animal. Conformation of the calf to be disregarded.
